The 2028 Olympics red carpet in Los Angeles was just unveiled, and it was quite amazing. The City of Angels welcomed the Olympic flag from Paris with a star-studded spectacular that included thrilling performances by hometown favorites like Snoop Dogg, Billie Eilish, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Star-Powered Travel from Paris to Venice Beach
The ceremony of handover was a visual treat. It began with a heartfelt performance of the national anthem by H.E.R. at the Stade de France and ended with Tom Cruise’s adrenaline-pumping, pre-recorded jump from the roof, which served as a symbolic launchpad for the Olympic flag’s voyage to Los Angeles. The famous Venice Beach was the next destination for Olympic competitors carrying the flag, as Red Hot Chili Peppers ignited the stage with their number-one hit song “Can’t Stop.”
When Billie Eilish took the stage and gave an incredible rendition of “Birds of a Feather” from the top of a lifeguard tower, the excitement skyrocketed. And then the big show began: Snoop Dogg, recently returned from his travels in Paris, took the stage with his signature style, captivating the audience. After giving a memorable performance of his hit song “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” the rap icon shocked everyone by inviting Dr. Dre to join him for a memorable performance of “The Next Episode.”
LA28: A Guarantee of Memorable Moments
The Olympic flag is being carried from Paris to Los Angeles, making this the largest moment in LA28’s history, according to Casey Wasserman, Chairman and CEO of LA28, who expressed his joy over the historic occasion.
