Celtics Regain Control with Dominant Game 3 Win over Cavaliers

The Boston Celtics trounced the Cleveland Cavaliers 106-93 in a resounding Game 3 victory to take a 2-1 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinals. With 33 points and 13 rebounds, Jayson Tatum led the Celtics, followed by Jaylen Brown with 28 points.

With a dominant effort, the Celtics recovered from a disheartening Game 2 setback at home. They were too strong for the Cavaliers to overcome, taking a 23-point lead with a 14-0 run to begin the second half.

With 33 points, Donovan Mitchell led the Cavaliers, but in the fourth quarter, he made his left knee issue worse. Three times in the fourth quarter, the Cavaliers were able to cut the lead to nine points, but Boston prevailed thanks to consecutive 3-pointers from Derrick White and Payton Pritchard.

Cleveland’s Evan Mobley led the team with 17 points, while Darius Garland and Caris LeVert both chipped in with 15. Jarrett Allen, the starting center for the Cavaliers, missed his sixth straight game because of a rib injury.

The Celtics’ triumph demonstrated their tenacity and capacity to overcome adversity. In the upcoming Game 4, which takes place in Cleveland on Monday night, they will want to increase their lead.
