She also shared how happy it made her to see younger people find and watch the movie online. “What makes me happy is that kids have found it on the internet, and they love it,” Berry stated to Jimmy Fallon. Berry said more on the movie’s second life when speaking with Entertainment Weekly. “People are free to discover it without being reminded of what critics said about it,” she said. “Newer generations are unaware of the remarks made at that time. They are not swayed by preconceived ideas; instead, they are finding it on their own and appreciating it for what it is.”

Although Berry still sees “Catwoman” in a positive light, she admitted that the bad press at the time had an impact on her. Because of the additional scrutiny she endures as a Black woman in Hollywood, she believed that the film’s failure was all her fault, which made the criticism feel especially harsh.
